Frankincense

Last week my joker of a husband asked me if Frankincense would turn him into Frankenstein for Halloween. No funny man it will not, however it is definitely an oil that a manly man might use. This is an oil that both men and women can appreciate. Guys first, but don’t worry gals, this one is for you too.

DIY Beard Oil

  • Start with a 2 ounce glass bottle (always store oils in glass)
  • Fill the bottle 3/4 full of coconut oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil (carrier oil of your choice).
  • Add 30-40 drops of Frankincense
Place 2-3 drops in the palm of the hand, and rub it through the beard. This will smooth the hairs, and give it a shine.

You might not have a beard, but that doesn’t mean this oil isn’t for you. The clean and earthy scent of Frankincense makes it a popular option to use when mediatation, or during a yoga session. In addition it is often used as part of a skincare routine.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Apply 2-4 drops to your moisturizer to add shine and highlight healthy looking skin.
  • Add a few drops to a carrier oil to create a sensual massage oil.
  • Diffuse for 30 minutes in areas of your home for prayer, mediation, or yoga.
  • Apply directly to acne outbreaks.
  • Apply directly to areas on skin with sun spots for help in diminishing their intensity.
